However, less attention has been paid to how the Patagonian question affected the ideology of the intellectual referents of the period. We hypothesise that there was a more bidirectional circulation than the historiography on Patagonia has generally acknowledged, making the Patagonian territory an area that fed back into the conception of the functioning of the state in national terms. El campo de investigación sobre administración estatal y de justicia en la Norpatagonia ha estudiado el impacto en los territorios nacionales de la de administración de gobierno y de justicia dictado por las élites del roquismo. Sin embargo, se ha prestado menos atención a cómo la cuestión patagónica incidió en la conformación del ideario de los referentes intelectuales del período. Sostenemos la hipótesis que existió una circulación más bidireccional que lo que la historiografía sobre la Patagonia ha en general reconocido, resultando el territorio patagónico una zona que retroalimentó la concepción sobre el funcionamiento del estado en términos nacionales. O campo de pesquisa sobre administração estatal e justiça na Patagônia Norte estudou o impacto nos territórios nacionais da administração do governo e da justiça ditada pelas elites do Roquismo. Porém, menos atenção tem sido dada à forma como a questão patagônica influenciou a formação da ideologia das referências intelectuais do período. Apoiamos a hipótese de que houve uma circulação mais bidirecional do que a historiografia da Patagônia geralmente reconhece, resultando no território patagônico como uma área que retroalimentava a concepção do funcionamento do Estado em termos nacionais.
