| Sumario: | The article deal switches the trajectory of a group of Indians who, coming from the Viceroyalty of Peru, and carrying large sums of money, arrived at the port of Saint-Malo in July 1710. Many of them traveled with the aim of buying the positions of political government and justice magistracies that at that time were distributed for money in the court of Madrid. Based on this case, the processes of transferring capital from America to Spain, the origin of the fortunes of some of the Indians and the links between venality and corruption are studied. |
