| Sumario: | The electoral reform promoted by Roque Sáenz Peña has been the main subject of interest in Argentine historiography on the period between 1910 and 1916. Less attention has been given to other issues that contemporaries nevertheless considered to be problems of the utmost importance. Such is the case of those they identified in the Argentine federal regime, giving rise to several political and intellectual controversies. These pages aim to shed light on one of the issues of Argentine federalism of that period, such as the institutional condition of the National Territories and their eventual admission as new provinces. |
