The uneasy relationship between Mexican government diplomats and the Soviet government during the first two decades of the post-revolutionary government is displayed in general, in order to understand the attitude of the Mexican state toward communist revolutionaries. The creation of the Communist Party of Mexico and its relationship with the III International Communist is shown to understand the development, the debates, discussions, and turns of the Party’s policy during its first decade of existence, along with the work deployed to gain influence among workers and peasants. El artículo revisa la influencia de la Revolución de octubre en los comunistas mexicanos; dibuja la perspectiva del Partido Comunista de México respecto a la revolución socialista en México durante los años veinte y su percepción de la Revolución Rusa. Se expone de manera general las accidentadas relación del diplomáticas del gobierno mexicano con el gobierno soviético durante las primeras dos décadas del gobierno pos revolucionario, para entender la actitud del estado mexicano con respecto a los revolucionarios comunistas. Se expone la creación del Partido Comunista de México y su relación con la III Internacional Comunista, para comprender desarrollo de la política del Partido durante su primera década de existencia sus debates, discusiones y virajes; a la par de los trabajos desplegados por el Partido para ganar influencia entre sectores obreros y campesinos.
