Sumario:This article seeks to approach, from a historical perspective, the intellectual context that framed the discussions concerning the most important educational experience with anarchist participation in Uruguay: “Liga Popular para la Educación Racional de la Infancia”. The case is extremely relevant since it shows the tensions between different sectors of the anarchist movement and their positions facing the increasing influence of the State in the education of the working class.
