Sumario:This article addresses the labor and migration experiences of Paladio Sanglas and his family, from Camprodon to Barcelona, then to Buenos Aires and to the city of Rosario. By accompanying their movements, the social relationships in which they were involved and the job offer that existed in their tailor shop in Buenos Aires, this microhistorical analysis "in motion" makes a contribution to the understanding of the worlds of urban work in Buenos Aires, of the migrations in the mid-nineteenth century from Europe to South America and of the mutations of a craft trade. Using the tools of social history from a gender perspective, the article also addresses the division of labor within the workshop and explores the meanings of labor honor that the men of the Sanglas family expressed before the Buenos Aires commercial justice. This study follows the traces of a Catalan tailor through the careful exploration of census sources, municipal documentation, judicial files from the Buenos Aires Commercial Court, accounting records, passenger boat lists, ads, among others.
