This article addresses the labor and migration experiences of Paladio Sanglas and his family, from Camprodon to Barcelona, then to Buenos Aires and to the city of Rosario. By accompanying their movements, the social relationships in which they were involved and the job offer that existed in their tailor shop in Buenos Aires, this microhistorical analysis "in motion" makes a contribution to the understanding of the worlds of urban work in Buenos Aires, of the migrations in the mid-nineteenth century from Europe to South America and of the mutations of a craft trade. Using the tools of social history from a gender perspective, the article also addresses the division of labor within the workshop and explores the meanings of labor honor that the men of the Sanglas family expressed before the Buenos Aires commercial justice. This study follows the traces of a Catalan tailor through the careful exploration of census sources, municipal documentation, judicial files from the Buenos Aires Commercial Court, accounting records, passenger boat lists, ads, among others. |

El presente artículo aborda las experiencias de trabajo y migración de Paladio Sanglas y su familia, desde Camprodón, hasta Barcelona, luego a Buenos Aires y a la ciudad de Rosario. Al acompañar sus desplazamientos, las relaciones sociales en las que se involucraron y la oferta de empleo que existió en su sastrería en la porteña calle Perú, este análisis microhistórico “en movimiento” realiza un aporte a la comprensión de los mundos del trabajo urbano en Buenos Aires, de las migraciones existentes a mediados de siglo XIX de Europa a Sudamérica y de las mutaciones de un oficio artesanal. Con las herramientas de la historia social en perspectiva de género, el artículo también se interroga por la división del trabajo al interior del taller y aborda los sentidos de honor laboral que los hombres de la familia Sanglas expresaron al comparecer frente a la justicia comercial porteña. Este estudio sigue la pista de un sastre catalán a través de la exploración atenta de fuentes censales, documentación municipal, expedientes judiciales del Tribunal de Comercio de Buenos Aires, registros contables, listados de pasajeros de embarcaciones, avisos clasificados, entre otras. Este artigo aborda as experiências de trabalho e migração de Palladio Sanglas e sua família, de Camprodón a Barcelona, depois a Buenos Aires e à cidade de Rosario. Ao acompanhar seus movimentos, as relações sociais nas quais se envolveram e a oferta de trabalho que existia em sua alfaiataria na Calle Perú em Buenos Aires, esta análise micro-histórica "em movimento" contribui para a compreensão dos mundos do trabalho urbano em Buenos Aires, Aires, das migrações existentes em meados do século XIX da Europa para a América do Sul e das mutações de um ofício artesanal. Utilizando as ferramentas da história social a partir de uma perspectiva de gênero, o artigo também questiona a divisão do trabalho dentro da oficina e aborda o sentimento de honra laboral que os homens da família Sanglas expressaram quando compareceram perante o tribunal comercial de Buenos Aires. Este estudo segue a trilha de um alfaiate catalão através da exploração cuidadosa de fontes censitárias, documentação municipal, arquivos judiciais do Tribunal Comercial de Buenos Aires, registros contábeis, listas de passageiros de navios, anúncios classificados, entre outros.
