description The article studies the political sociabilities of youths which identified with the Unión Cívica Radical (UCR) during the first administration of Hipólito Yrigoyen and the accession of that party to national government (1916-1922). In order to achieve this, it takes as its object a series of committees and clubs of the Radical Youth, which are reconstructed through various documents and reports from the Party political press. In dialogue with contributions from political history, the work is inscribed within the field of studies on the history of youths, focusing on the analysis of the interests involved in the formation of these entities, the youth identities they mobilized, and the forms and practices of public intervention they carried out. Based on this, the conclusions affirm the relevance that youths acquired in the period studied and raise reflections on the elements that the analysis of the historical configuration of youths provides for the study of the Radical Party and the democratic experience.

El artículo estudia las prácticas y sociabilidades políticas juveniles identificadas con la Unión Cívica Radical (UCR), durante la primera presidencia de Hipólito Yrigoyen y el acceso de ese partido al gobierno nacional (1916-1922). A través de distintas noticias de la prensa política partidaria, se reconstruyen una serie de comités y clubes de la juventud radical. En diálogo con los aportes de la historia política, el trabajo se inscribe dentro del campo de estudios sobre historia de las juventudes, focalizando así en los intereses que intervenían en la conformación de estas entidades, en las identidades juveniles que movilizaban y en las prácticas de intervención pública que llevaban a cabo. En las conclusiones se afirma la relevancia que adquirieron las juventudes en el periodo abordado y se plantean reflexiones sobre los elementos que brinda el análisis de la configuración histórica de las juventudes al estudio del radicalismo y de la experiencia democrática. Este artigo examina as práticas políticas e as interações sociais da juventude associada à União Cívica Radical (UCR) durante a primeira presidência de Hipólito Yrigoyen e a ascensão do partido ao poder nacional (1916-1922). Através de diversos relatos na imprensa política do partido, reconstrói-se uma série de comités e clubes da juventude radical. Dialogando com contributos da história política, o trabalho insere-se no campo dos estudos de história da juventude, centrando-se nos interesses que moldaram estas organizações, nas identidades juvenis que mobilizaram e nas suas práticas de engajamento público. As conclusões afirmam a importância dos movimentos juvenis durante o período estudado e oferecem reflexões sobre a forma como a análise da configuração histórica da juventude contribui para o estudo do radicalismo e da experiência democrática.
