description In 1952, the priest of the town of Monteros, Simón Pedro Lobo, was involved in a conflict with the director of the Normal School. As a consequence, he lost his ministerial licenses and was expelled from the diocese in 1953. The bishop based the sanction on the "political behavior" of the priest manifested in his fervent adhesion to the government of Perón. The article aims to analyze the conflict that involved the priest, the director and the church hierarchy, taking into account the links built by Lobo since his arrival at the parish. Through the analysis of his trajectory in Monteros, it is possible to study the social and political modes of intervention, as well as the social networks in which the priest participated before and after the irruption of Peronism. The paper adopts a “ground level” approach and restores the community links in order to explain the positions of the parish priest and the tensions originated with the ecclesiastical hierarchy.

En 1952, el cura de la ciudad de Monteros, Simón Pedro Lobo, protagonizó un conflicto con la directora de la Escuela Normal de esa localidad que lo llevó a perder las licencias ministeriales y ser expulsado de la diócesis al año siguiente. El obispado fundamentó la sanción en el “comportamiento político” del cura manifestado en su ferviente adhesión al gobierno de Perón. El artículo se propone analizar el conflicto que envolvió al cura, a la directora y a la jerarquía eclesiástica teniendo en cuenta, principalmente, los vínculos construidos por Lobo con actores de la comunidad desde su llegada a la parroquia en 1932. A partir del análisis de su trayectoria en Monteros se busca dar cuenta de los modos de intervención social y política, como de las redes de relaciones en las que el cura participó en los años previos y posteriores a la irrupción del peronismo. El trabajo adopta un enfoque a ras del suelo y restituye la trama comunitaria a fin de explicar los posicionamientos del cura párroco y las tensiones originadas con la jerarquía eclesiástica. Em 1952, o sacerdote da cidade de Monteros, Simón Pedro Lobo, travou um conflito com o diretor da Escola Normal daquela cidade que o levou a perder as licenças ministeriais e ser expulso da diocese no ano seguinte. O bispado baseou a sanção no "comportamento político" do sacerdote manifestado em sua fervorosa adesão ao governo de Perón. O artigo tem como objetivo analisar o conflito que envolvia o padre, o diretor e a hierarquia eclesiástica, levando em consideração, principalmente, os vínculos construídos por Lobo com atores comunitários desde sua chegada à paróquia em 1932. A partir da análise de sua trajetória A em Monteros procura dar conta dos modos de intervenção social e política, bem como das redes de relações das quais o padre participou nos anos anteriores e posteriores ao surgimento do peronismo.
