| Sumario: | In Argentina, once you earned the Medical Degree, it allows you to work as a doctor. However, as it happens allover South America, there are many graduate students who choose to continue studying in order to obtain a specialist degree, as a means to become more knowledgeable, gain professional status and increase their income. This study aims to compare the UNR’s anesthesiology residency/training program to the ones being employed in Europe. Using the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC) survey, a descriptive research was performed. After the comparison, there were identified similarities between both training programs. Setting these side by side is crucial to recognize strength and weaknesses of each program. This analysis may help optimizing resources and develop a more efficient approach for the training of professional Anaesthesiology trainees. |
