Sumario:During the Buenos Aires sprawl a particular process of subdivisión and land sale in stallments took place. Within this framework the figure of the auctioneers stood out and carried out particular practices typical of local land sale processes. This work aspires to recognize and analyze the journey towards the construction of this figure and what we could call expert knowledge, taking into account that in the absence of a formalized disciplinary corpus, those individuals who treasured practices and experience gained importance. Thus, a second topic of interest is built around the analysis of their training and stabilization circles, the different forms of professional association that slowly organized and contributed to the construction and legitimation of the profession are reviewed. Finally, clues are offered to investigate the areas of collaboration and linkage between private companies linked to the land market and the state administrative sphere, with the intention of contributing to the vindication of the role of auctioneers in more complex processes. extensive construction of the territory.
