Therefore, we argue that teaching must pave the way for the University to open the appropriate space to encourage debate, reflection, to learn about this crisis and the alternatives to tackle it. As participants in some way or another, we hold that from such educational practices and interactions we have succeeded in clarifying and questioning knowledge stuck to the dogmatisms of the “Unsustainable Modernity”. The latter standpoint has always been functional to the manufacturing imperative of the market. Quienes pensamos que la Crisis Ambiental, en tanto Crisis Civilizatoria,  tiene su correlato en los modos de conocer y construir saber sostenemos que la tarea docente debe allanar los caminos para que la Universidad genere el espacio propicio para albergar el debate, la reflexión y la producción de saberes sobre, y para paliar, esta crisis. Otro de los espacios, en este caso extra curricular, ha sido la Cátedra Libre: “Saberes, creencias y luchas de los Pueblos originarios” inaugurada en el año 2009 y que tiene como particularidad que los encuentros/clases son protagonizados/dictados por representantes de los Pueblos Originales de nuestro país. Estamos persuadidos que desde esta atmosfera intercultural se ha abierto una brecha fecunda para el Diálogo de Saberes, necesario y propiciatorio para lograr una Epistemología Ambiental.
