Ortiz’s poetry books, El alba sube (1937) and La rama hacia el este (1940), understanding them as two crucial moments for studying the social aspect present in the representation of the landscape made by the poet. This approach, in which we will try to explore the peculiarities of the social forms expressed in Ortiz’s poetry, that escape from the traditional lines of political poetry, will be based on the articulation of the two books with a series of interviews with Ortiz. En este artículo realizaremos una lectura de dos libros de poemas de Juan L. Ortiz, El alba sube (1937) y La rama hacia el este (1940), que pueden ser pensados como dos momentos clave para analizar el aspecto social presente en la representación del paisaje que realiza el poeta. Este acercamiento, en el que nos proponemos explorar las particularidades de las formas de lo social que se expresan en la poesía de Ortiz, alejadas de las líneas tradicionales de la poesía política, será llevado a cabo a partir de la articulación de los poemas con una serie de entrevistas realizadas a Ortiz. Neste artigo, faremos uma leitura de dois livros de poesia de Juan L. Ortiz, El alba sube (1937) e La rama hacia el este (1940), que podem ser considerados dois momentos-chave para analisar o aspecto social presente na representação da paisagem feita pelo poeta. Esta abordagem, na qual nos propomos a explorar as particularidades das formas sociais expressas na poesia de Ortiz, afastadas das linhas tradicionais da poesia política, será realizada por meio da articulação dos livros com uma série de entrevistas feitas com Ortiz.
