Sumario:The following article intends to analyze the possible connection between certain categories in Rodolfo Kusch’s thought. Such categories are: nation, the people, philosophy, and myth. The purpose is to demonstrate that, considering the diagnosis of the problematic situation of the nation and the role of philosophy within it, Kusch proposes to try diverse popular myths as a valid solution to these problems–both the nation and the role of philosophy–since they are closely related. It is believed that on the basis of Kusch’s proposal underlies the implicit idea of reestablishing the Nation state on new foundations, beginning with the decolonization of the mind. This is currently a significant topic, which was anticipated by Kusch. The intention is to denote the relevance of this author in the understanding of our own reality.
