Such categories are: nation, the people, philosophy, and myth. The purpose is to demonstrate that, considering the diagnosis of the problematic situation of the nation and the role of philosophy within it, Kusch proposes to try diverse popular myths as a valid solution to these problems–both the nation and the role of philosophy–since they are closely related. It is believed that on the basis of Kusch’s proposal underlies the implicit idea of reestablishing the Nation state on new foundations, beginning with the decolonization of the mind. This is currently a significant topic, which was anticipated by Kusch. The intention is to denote the relevance of this author in the understanding of our own reality. El siguiente artículo buscará analizar la posible relación entre algunas categorías del pensamiento de Rodolfo Kusch. Dichas categorías son: nación, pueblo, filosofía y mito. La intención es demostrar que ante el diagnóstico de la situación problemática de la nación y del rol que la filosofía ha venido jugando en la misma, Kusch propone ensayar diversos mitos populares como solución válida, tanto al problema de la nación como de la filosofía. Ya que ambos se encontrarían relacionados. Creemos que en el fondo del planteo Kuscheano, subyace implícita la idea de la refundación del Estado Nacional sobre nuevas bases, a partir de la descolonización del pensamiento. Tema vigente en la actualidad que Kusch estaría anticipando varias décadas atrás. Nos interesa en este sentido señalar la profunda vigencia de este autor para comprender nuestra propia realidad.
