Sumario:This article aims is to reconstruct a biography: the life of Haydée Maciel, a normalist teacher of the first decades of the twentieth century in the city of Rosario. The study of the biography as a historical narration makes it possible to frame the path taken and some of the main facts in the life of this young teacher, in dialogue with the social, political, economical and ideological situation of the period. For  "women-teachers" the constructions of senses, roles, actions and desired behaviors were double: first as women and second as teachers. The biography of Haydée Maciel allows us to recognize and verify the existence of "women-teachers" who kept a transgressive performance in relation to the sexual canons and mandates of the time that fell on them.
