Theoretically, we start from understanding that classes are constituted in the struggle (Marx, 2007), and that class experiences (Thompson, 1989), and experiences of struggle, are the central elements to know the future of the working class. In this sense, our research analyzes the actions of workers' struggle in Mendoza, making a quantitative account of them, and then qualitatively focusing on those carried out specifically by construction workers, a sector that played a prominent role in the conflict especially starting in 1935. We use a wide variety of commercial, working-class and left-wing journalistic sources, production and population censuses.
