For a chronic exposition scenario of water consumption from 30 domestic wells, most of the city (i.e., 76.23 km2) presents risk levels that should be looked after, involving 20903 persons, out of which 1858 are exposed children. This study allowed appreciating a number of possibilities of HRA models for the assessment of the quality of water resources used for human consumption as comparedto an analysis made on the basis of the recommended levels according to the current rules. El análisis de riesgo sanitario (ARS) estima el peligro para un humano expuesto a sustancias presentes en el ambiente. El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo conocer el riesgo sanitario que implicaría el consumo de agua en la planta urbana de Azul a partir de su contenido de fluoruro. Para un escenario de exposición crónica por ingesta de agua proveniente de 30 pozos someros domiciliarios, la mayor parte del área de la planta urbana, es decir 76.23 km2, presenta niveles de riesgo atendible, con 20903 personas involucradas de los cuales 1858 corresponden a niños expuestos. El estudio realizado ha permitido visualizar una serie de posibilidades que brindan los modelos ARS para la evaluación de la calidad de los recursos hídricos para consumo humano en relación con el análisis comparativo basado en los límites establecidos por la normativa vigente.
