The lack of hydrometric datafor the study of cases is usually a common difficulty, particularly by the temporary watercourses and lagoons.A hydrological model was designed for calculation the surface-water mass balance in the lagoon system,studying with focus in this type of landscape and problems. The study permitted a simplified methodologyfor the assessment and hydrological analysis of these cases.Among other uses regional, the model was developed as an analytical tool in the management plan of thewastewater treatment system in the Trelew city, in the province of Chubut, Argentina. The wastewater ofTrelew are discharged into the existing lagoons between the city and Rawson city. Summarizes the mainfindings and conclusions of hydrologic simulation. En muchos problemas de ordenamiento territorial, evaluación de riesgo hidrológico, o de intervención con obras hidráulicas en urbanizaciones de la Patagonia, se interactúa con depresiones y cadenas de lagunas que son características morfológicas del paisaje de meseta, del valle de sus ríos y su zona de contacto. La escasez de datos hidrométricos para el estudio de casos suele ser una dificultad común, particularmente por el carácter temporario de los cursos de agua y bajos inundables. Con foco en esta tipología de paisaje y problemática, se diseñó un modelo de balance de masa hídrica en un sistema de lagunas, que permitió disponer de una metodología simplificada para la evaluación y análisis hidrológico de estos casos. Entre otras aplicaciones regionales, el modelo desarrollado se utilizó como herramienta de análisis en el “Plan de manejo y gestión integral del sistema de tratamiento de efluentes cloacales de la ciudad de Trelew”, cuyos efluentes se vierten al área de lagunas existente entre esta ciudad y Rawson, en la Provincia del Chubut. Se resumen los principales resultados y conclusiones de la simulación hidrológica lograda.
