So far, there have been no systematic measurements of the impact of these fires on the hydrological behavior of their watersheds.Through the use of a portable rain simulator, and controlled burning at representative temperatures and durations, a campaign has been carried out to measure the impact of fire on the infiltration capacity in Córdoba soils. For this, measurements have been made in pre and post-fire conditions of surface runoff under a simulated rain of known intensity. The experimental results show a reduction of the average infiltration capacity of 32% at the end of the tests as a result of the fire action. From these results, the parameters of the infiltration model of Green and Ampt were calibrated, analyzing their alteration as a result of fire. The hydraulic conductivity presents significant reductions, while the suction head increases considerably. It is considered that the results obtained will allow quantitative assessments of the impact of forest fires in the hydrological cycle of the basins of the mountain region of Córdoba.

En la provincia de Córdoba (Argentina), por sus características climáticas, se desarrollan frecuentemente incendios forestales en correspondencia con la estación seca. Hasta el momento no se han reportado mediciones sistemáticas del impacto de estos incendios en el comportamiento hidrológico de sus cuencas. Mediante el uso de simulador de lluvia portátil, y quemas controladas a temperaturas y duraciones representativas, se ha llevado a cabo una campaña de medición del impacto del fuego sobre la capacidad de infiltración en los suelos de Córdoba. Para ello, se han realizado mediciones en condiciones pre y post-incendio del escurrimiento superficial ante una lluvia simulada de intensidad conocida. Los resultados experimentales muestran una reducción de la capacidad de infiltración promedio del 32 % al finalizar los ensayos a consecuencia de la acción del fuego. A partir de estos resultados, se calibraron los parámetros del modelo de infiltración de Green y Ampt, analizando su alteración producto del fuego. La conductividad hidráulica presenta significativas reducciones, mientras que la carga de succión matricial se incrementa considerablemente. Se considera que los resultados obtenidos permitirán realizar evaluaciones cuantitativas del impacto de los incendios forestales en el ciclo hidrológico de las cuencas de la región serrana de Córdoba.
