It seeks to understand the dynamics of participation and voting from the perspective of sociology and electoral geography. The methodology used is quantitative, which allows us to understand the electoral behavior through the following dimensions of analysis 1. Electoral participation and 2. Voting by coalitions or parties in the presidential and municipal elections. For this purpose, statistical analysis techniques are used with association measures (correlations) and spatial analysis with Jenks natural cuts and spatial autocorrelation (Moran index and Geary index) to know the concentration and spatialization of the variables in the unit of analysis, which in this case are the electoral sections of the municipality of Ixmiquilpan, thus contributing to know the electoral dynamics of an emblematic municipality of the Mezquital Valley. El objetivo de la investigación es analizar el comportamiento electoral en el municipio de Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo, en las elecciones federales concurrentes de 2024. Se busca comprender las dinámicas de la participación y el voto desde la perspectiva de la sociología y la geografía electoral. La metodología empleada es cuantitativa, lo que permite conocer el comportamiento electoral a través de las siguientes dimensiones de análisis 1. Participación electoral y 2. Voto por coaliciones o partidos en las elecciones presidenciales y municipales. Para ello se utilizan técnicas de análisis estadístico con medidas de asociación (correlaciones) y análisis espacial con cortes naturales de Jenks y autocorrelación espacial (índice de Moran e índice de Geary) para conocer la concentración y espacialización de las variables en la unidad de análisis que en este caso son las secciones electorales del municipio de Ixmiquilpan, contribuyendo con ello a conocer las dinámicas electorales de un municipio emblemático del Valle del Mezquital.
