Sumario:This article is framed and addresses elements worked on the research program: "School forms and teaching positions in the production of the right to education in Uruguay", located in the Institute of Education of the Faculty of Humanities and Educational Sciences from the University of the Republic. Its objective is to analyze the positions of teachers from different public educational institutions, in relation to the change of government and education authorities, the educational policies implemented, and their repercussions on the autonomy of teaching work and on school daily life. This work is based on a qualitative approach, using semi-structured interviews and a discussion group developed in one of the schools. Based on teaching positions the article analyzes the transformations proposed by the "new right" government and their repercussions for teaching work´s autonomy, decision-making and democratic participation in educational institutions.
