Sumario:This study presents the first findings of a qualitative research on the generation of identity in the age from young adulthood of geek subjects from Ciudad Juárez. Since the consolidation of certain values and social thresholds is an expected condition for the identification of an adult subject in our societies, the difficulty in meeting these expected elements turns the gaze towards the conformation of said identity of adulthood and the new values that it may have and the thresholds or transitions that must characterize it. Starting from the life course approach, a theoretical review of the changes in age constructions in contemporary societies is carried out, to later present a proposal for the construction of an age identity from adulthood; Finally, the first results obtained from the field work with the vital trajectories of the subjects of this investigation will be exposed.
