After 66 years of democracy since the independence of the country, a political group different from the Indian National Congress (INC), formed government without the suppport of any other political party. Therefore it becomes relevant to discuss the subsequent implications for the country and if there have been relevant changes or mere continuity either in domestic and foreign policy with Narendra Modi’s administration. The main assumption is that the arrival of a new government brought a new scenario due to its different background which could mean, in many cases, changes in methods. However, the main goals of India continues to be the transformation of the country in an increasingly relevant nation in the twenty-first century.
