This is evidenced by the increase in military interventions by great powers since the end of World War II. The objective of this article is to explore how this normative degradation impacts in Argentina's national defense challenges. Specifically, considering that the South American country has 25% of its territory under military occupation of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. This work is an analytical-descriptive study, it establishes a conceptual framework specific to the discipline of International Relations and then analyses the empirical scenario. Then, it seeks to interpret the consequences of this scenario for Argentina in terms of national defense. Conceptually, the article begins with the debates associated with the construction of the international order, placing special emphasis on those that are constitutional and characterized by obedience to international norms. The article concludes that the current international scenario intensifies the defensive and revisionist challenges facing Argentina's defense policy.   El deterioro de las normas internacionales que regulan y restringen el ejercicio del poder militar es un fenómeno que se ha intensificado en las últimas décadas. Esto se evidencia en el aumento de las intervenciones militares por parte de las potencias desde el final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. El objetivo del presente artículo es explorar cómo incide dicha degradación normativa en los desafíos en materia de defensa nacional de la Argentina. Específicamente, considerando que el país sudamericano tiene el 25% del territorio ocupado por el Reino Unido de Gran Bretaña e Irlanda del Norte. El trabajo constituye un trabajo analítico-descriptivo, en donde se establece un marco conceptual propio de la disciplina de las Relaciones Internacionales para luego analizar el escenario empírico. Luego, se procura interpretar las consecuencias que dicho escenario tiene para la Argentina en materia de defensa nacional. En términos conceptuales, el artículo parte de los debates asociados a la construcción del orden internacional, haciendo especial énfasis en aquellos que son constitucionales y se caracterizan por la obediencia a las normas internacionales. El artículo concluye que el escenario internacional actual intensifica los desafíos defensivos y revisionistas de la política de defensa de la Argentina.
