The determination of Electrical Conductivity (EC) is the indirect methodology most used in the determination of salts. 63 soil samples belonging to the ecological region called Pampa Humid Argentina were used. Sampling, drying and disaggregation of the soils was carried out and then the homogenization, grinding and sieving was carried out for 2 mm. The saturated paste was prepared and divided into four fractions. At the first fraction the EC was measured at 10 min and at 24 h of rest. The second and third fraction was filtered with vacuum at 10 min and 24 h of rest, respectively, to obtain in each case the saturation extract and measure the EC. In the fourth fraction, the quintuple extract was obtained according to Nijensohn, 1988. For low EC values, the results obtained using the methodologies studied are similar. From about 1 dS m-1 begin to diverge. Likewise, it can be seen that there are practically no differences between the EC values up to about 20 dS m-1. Linear regression models were obtained that allow us to estimate the EC at 24 h, as well as the ionic concentration and the RAS in the same extracts based on a methodology that reduces the rest time of the saturated paste and, consequently, the process is streamlined of determination and diagnosis of soil alkalinity. |

La salinidad del suelo es uno de los factores que mayores limitaciones ofrece a la explotación agropecuaria. Ocupa el segundo lugar como causante de la degradación mundial de suelos, detrás de la erosión. La determinación de la Conductividad Eléctrica (CE) es la metodología indirecta más utilizada en la determinación de sales. Se utilizaron 63 muestras de suelo pertenecientes a la región ecológica denominada Pampa Húmeda Argentina. Se realizó el muestreo, secado y desagregado de los suelos y luego se procedió con la homogeneización, molienda y tamizado por 2 mm. Se preparó la pasta saturada y se la dividió en cuatro fracciones. A la primera fracción se midió la CE a los 10 min y a las 24 h de reposo. La segunda y tercera fracción se filtró con vació a los 10 min y 24 h de reposo, respectivamente, para obtener en cada caso el extracto de saturación y medir la CE. En la cuarta fracción se obtuvo el quíntuple extracto según Nijensohn, 1988. Para bajos valores de CE los resultados que se obtienen empleando las metodologías estudiadas son similares. A partir de alrededor de 1 dS m-1 comienzan a divergir. Asimismo, puede verse que prácticamente no hay diferencias entre los valores de CE hasta alrededor de 20 dS m-1. Se obtuvieron modelos de regresión lineal que permiten estimar la CE a las 24h, como así también la concentración iónica y la RAS en los mismos extractos a partir de metodología que reducen el tiempo de reposo de la pasta saturada y en consecuencia se logra agilizar el proceso de determinación y diagnóstico de la alcalinidad de los suelos. A determinação da condutivida de elétrica (CE) é a metodología indireta mais utilizada na determinação de sais. Foram utilizadas 63 amostras de solo pertencentes à região ecológica denominada Pampa Humid Argentina. A amostragem, secagem e desagregação dos solos foram realizadas e, em seguida, a homogeneização, moagem e peneiração foram realizadas por 2 mm. A pasta saturada foi preparada e dividida em quatro frações. Na primeira fração, o CE foi medido em 10 minutos e em 24 horas de descanso. A segunda e a terceira fração foram filtradas com vácuo a 10 min e 24 h de descanso, respectivamente, para obter em cada caso o extrato de saturação e medir a CE. Na quarta fração, o extrato quíntuplo foi obtido de acordocom Nijensohn, 1988. Para valores baixos de CE, os resultados obtidos usando as metodología sestuda dassão semelhantes. A partir de cerca de 1 dS m-1, começa a divergir. Da mesma forma, pode-se observar que praticamente não existem diferenças entre os valores de EC de até 20 dS m-1. Foram obtidos modelos de regressão linear que permitem estimar a CE em 24 h, bem como a concentração iônica e o RAS nos mesmos extratos, com base em uma metodologia que reduz o tempo de descanso da pasta saturada e, consequentemente, é possível acelerar a processo de determinação e diagnóstico da alcalinidade do solo.
