The objective is to consider the questions that arise when conducting interviews with family members/affections. of people with problematic substance use in the initial stages of support, when the person has not yet recognized their situation or approached a healthcare provider on their own. This article reflects a process of questioning and theoretical reflection that began with a specific experience at the CeSAC. To study the topic, the interview is analyzed as a tool for social work intervention and as a space for professional creation. It also addresses questions regarding accessibility to the healthcare system for people with problematic substance use.
