| Sumario: | This text originates from rotations through three health centers within the catchment area of a General Acute Hospital located in the southern part of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, as part of the second year of the social work residency program. During this period, we engaged in a theoretical-practical approach to Primary Health Care strategy and participated in the work processes and interventions of the Health Centers and Community Action teams. Within this framework, we explored new possibilities for analysis and intervention, expanding the boundaries of professional engagement by implementing promotion and prevention strategies at the core of users’ everyday lives: their communities. The reflections arising from this practice have led us to analyze how the intercultural perspective is implemented in first-level care facilities, through the lens of the healthcare workers who are part of these teams. For the development of this writing, we draw upon our own work practices in the Health Centers and Community Action, relevant bibliographic readings, and the results of a questionnaire with open-ended questions administered to the team members. |
