Sumario:This article recovers the process of feminist struggle against the white slave trade and regulated prostitution, at the beginning of the 20th century in Argentina. In an exercise in feminist genealogy, the article investigates the assumptions and actions of associations and feminist referents that led this process, observing continuities and ruptures with the present, especially in relation to the demands towards the State. The analysis begins in 1900 to understand the gestation of these events and ends in 1936 with the enactment of the Prophylaxis Law that ruled the closure of brothels in Argentina.
