In an exercise in feminist genealogy, the article investigates the assumptions and actions of associations and feminist referents that led this process, observing continuities and ruptures with the present, especially in relation to the demands towards the State. The analysis begins in 1900 to understand the gestation of these events and ends in 1936 with the enactment of the Prophylaxis Law that ruled the closure of brothels in Argentina. Este artículo recupera el proceso de lucha feminista contra la trata de blancas y la prostitución reglamentada a comienzos del siglo XX en Argentina. En un ejercicio de genealogía feminista, indaga sobre los supuestos y acciones de asociaciones y referentes feministas letradas que protagonizaron ese proceso. Observa continuidades y rupturas con el presente, especialmente en relación a las demandas hacia el Estado. El análisis comienza en 1900 para comprender la gestación de esos sucesos y finaliza en 1936 con la sanción de la Ley de Profilaxis que dictaminó el cierre de los prostíbulos en Argentina.
