To do this, firstly, the implications of active understanding as a dialogical process of approaching the word of others are synthesized, to then analyze the notion of discursive genres and the ideological status of the word, giving special relevance to the reflections around the foreign word and its implications in the writing and reading process. Considerando la relevancia que la lectura de producciones textuales, en sus distintas formas, tiene en el proceso de investigación social, el presente artículo recupera elementos de la filosofía del lenguaje desarrollados por Voloshinov y Bajtín para problematizar el proceso de lectura de dichas producciones. Para ello, primeramente, se sintetizan las implicancias de la comprensión activa como proceso dialógico de aproximación a la palabra ajena, para luego analizar la noción de géneros discursivos y el carácter ideológico de la palabra, otorgando especial relevancia a las reflexiones en torno a la palabra ajena y sus implicancias en el proceso de escritura y de lectura.
