It is necessary to add that this document was reassessed in the year 2016 due to the participation, generated in different academic spaces of discussion. As a matter of fact, during the fieldwork process, many of the subjects who were part of the investigation participated by sharing experiences regarding obstetric violence. In addition to this, regarding the generating axis, we must mention that it is related to the importance of making visible other manifestations of violence against women, with the objective of problematizing, and at same time, eliminating them. El presente artículo corresponde al producto de un proceso investigativo desarrollado en Costa Rica durante el año 2015, como parte de las asignaciones evaluativas de dos cursos académicos. Cabe añadir que este documento fue replanteado en el año 2016 debido a la participación retroalimentativa generada en diferentes espacios académicos de discusión. Asimismo, durante el proceso de la realización del trabajo de campo se contó con la participación de diversas sujetas de investigación, quienes compartieron sus experiencias con respecto a la violencia obstétrica. Aunado a esto, en lo que respecta al eje generador se debe mencionar que se relaciona con la importancia de visibilizar otras manifestaciones de la violencia contra la mujer con el objetivo de problematizarlas, y a su vez, eliminarlas.
