The theoretical- methodological implications of interpretation –which mediates every intervention practice– orientated us to a path through the procedures that act establishing a problem (in this case represented by Anibal) to the legal, medical, psychiatric, psychologists and social worker’s speeches that treated with him; added up to the relatives that signed it up categorically. Not so much a “problem”, Anibal’s case represented the construction of subjectivity inside an institutional circuit, in which his body became “a superficial body”. The symbolic dimension that these linked speeches get makes a plot where his death is heavily significant. This is the core of our current revision of Anibal’s case that checkmates the complicity of diverse intervenient practices and speeches, as long as they anticipate, criminalizing, and his death in an institutional circuit. We take a step forward in this aspect, in a deeper and broader sense of the concept of “institutional violence”. En 1993, la muerte dramática de Aníbal, en el contexto de una intervención inter-institucional, indujo a reflexionar críticamente sobre el papel de la interpretación; sobre sus límites y perspectivas para la misma desde la Antropología y el Trabajo Social. Las implicaciones teórico-metodológicas de la interpretación –que mediatiza toda práctica de intervención– nos orientó a un recorrido a través de los procedimientos que actúan constituyendo un problema (en este caso el representado por Aníbal) para los discursos jurídicos, médicos, psiquiátricos, de los psicólogos y trabajadores sociales que trataron con él; más los familiares que lo marcaron de modo categórico. Más que un “problema”, el caso de Aníbal representó la construcción de una subjetividad dentro de un circuito institucional en que su cuerpo fue “un cuerpo sacrificial”. La dimensión simbólica que adquieren estos discursos entrelazados, forman una trama en que su muerte adquiere una densidad muy significativa. Este es el eje de nuestra revisión actual del caso de Aníbal que pone en jaque la complicidad de las diversas prácticas y discursos intervinientes, en tanto ellos los anticipa, liminarizándolo, su muerte en un circuito institucional.
