We will explore through clinical vignettes the way in which the notion of similarity and alterity in childhood is constructed. We will also analyze the modalities in which legalities are established when the adult / child asymmetry appears in an exceptional way. Which ties are being built between brothers at and beyond the parental filial? As a result of the investigation, an hypothesis came out: the legalities between peers, the notion of alterity, the difference with the other, the own identifications are configured in fraternal matrices. Este artículo analiza el lugar de lo fraterno como modo de la alteridad en la constitución subjetiva, a partir de la indagación de la noción de fraternidad en algunos autores fundantes del corpus psicoanalítico y en algunos pensadores argentinos. Así mismo, a partir de viñetas clínicas se explora el modo en que se construye la noción de semejante y de alteridad en la infancia, y de las modalidades en las que se instauran las legalidades cuando la asimetría adulto/niño aparece de manera excepcional. ¿Qué lazos se construyen entre hermanos más allá y más acá de lo paterno filial? Una hipótesis fruto del recorrido es que las legalidades entre pares, la noción de alteridad, la diferencia con el otro, las propias identificaciones se configuran en matrices fraternas.
