Sumario:This paper analyzes a playful area of a Pediatric Admission Room at a Hospital to re – evaluate the importance and effects of inhabiting the game, not only for the boy and girl who are recovered there. To this end, we charted the story of the playful area, its foundational moment, vignettes in which not only children play, but also adults who accompany the internment, the health team and their practices. The playful area created the conditions for fiction, to be able to enter another scene, to suspend discomfort and to build social bonds. Diagnostic issues were identified there, and subjective inaugural operations were enabled. Set up as another scene for the institution, in a third zone, transformed the situation of hospitalization in an opportunity for the clinical practice, opening the door to the game in all its dimensions: among boys and girls, in adults concerned (generally mothers) and to all the practices. The game itself, the playful dimension of the interventions and the analytical position were enhanced.
