The deployment and problematization of the viewpoints around this concept will allow us to situate a general framework from where to think those artistic systems that are being offered to the children by a local public institution. The analyzed experience belongs to this mentioned system. Once we have analyzed these general aspects, we will point out, based on psychoanalytic theory, those aspects concerning the activity of playing: the “as if ” and the conditions for installing a theatrical convention. We try to identify structural and structuring issues of these processes. Then, using the precedent studies as a category of analysis, we take into account an experience of the beginning of a theater workshop and its avatars in the institution. We also analyze a case on the basis of the precedent investigation results. En la producción de este trabajo se desarrollan, desde una perspectiva histórica y una mirada psicoanalítica diferentes significaciones nes en torno al concepto de niño. El despliegue y problematización de las miradas hacia este concepto, permitirán situar un marco general, desde donde pensar aquellos dispositivos artísticos que se ofertan para la niñez desde una institución Municipal, en la que se desarrolla la experiencia que se recorta para pensar. Trabajados estos aspectos generales, se puntualizan teóricamente, desde el psicoanálisis, aquellas relaciones respecto de la actividad del jugar, el “como si” y las condiciones para instalar una convención teatral, buscando ubicar aspectos estructurales y estructurantes de estas operatorias. Con estos precedentes, utilizados al modo de categorías de análisis, se recorta una experiencia de inicio de un taller de teatro y sus avatares en la institución. Se trabaja también, desde la perspectiva de dichas conceptualizaciones, a la luz de un caso.
