description NooJ is a linguistic development environment providing tools for linguists to build linguistic resources that formalize a wide variety of linguistic phenomena. These resources can be used to formalize typography, spelling, lexicons for single words, multi-word units, and discontinuous expressions, inflectional, derivational, and agglutinative morphology, local grammars, phrase structure, and dependency grammars, as well as transformational and semantic grammars. NooJ contains a rich toolkit that enables linguists to build, maintain, test, debug, compile, and share linguistic resources. This makes NooJ's approach distinct from most computational linguistic tools, which typically offer users a single formalism to their users and are not interoperable with each other. NooJ has recently been enhanced with new features to meet the needs of researchers who analyze texts in various fields of the humanities and social sciences, such as History, Literature, and Political Studies, Psychology, Sociology, as well as those in other fields. Specifically, this applies to all professionals who use corpora to teach a second language. This new issue of our journal is a valuable contribution not only to the NooJ community but also to all NooJ developers, as it represents two crucial projects: the development of linguistic resources. On the one hand, the use of these resources to develop educational applications, on the other. Thus: - In her article “Some contributions to the teaching of Spanish from computational linguistics,” Andrea Rodrigo presents the pedagogical considerations that underpin her postdoctoral research, as well as some basic points that are followed in the automatic processing of adjectives and verbs using the NooJ computer tool, recognizing that these are central categories in Spanish grammar. - In their article, “Symbolic AI, Quantum Models and Text Automation: Towards Topologies of Language and Meaning,” Ritamaría Bucciarelli, Francesco Terrone, and Javier Julián Enríquez address the implementation of natural language processing (NLP) techniques for automating text analysis in the fields of digital humanities. Their methodological approach focuses on sentiment analysis and morphosyntax, and phonetics in synthetic languages and digital communication contexts. - In his article, “Towards the construction of an electronic dictionary of Quechua-Spanish and Spanish-Quechua verbs,” Maximiliano Durán presents some of the achievements made in  developing the electronic Dictionary of Quechua-Spanish and Spanish-Quechua Verbs. The objective is to present the bilingual and bidirectional Quechua-Spanish verbal vocabulary in an exhaustive and formalized manner, with the aim of developing applications within the field of automatic language processing (ALP). - In her article, “Formalization of Ukrainian verbs with NooJ: a pedagogical application to the learning of aspectual pairs,” Olena Saint-Joanis addresses the verbal system as a central component of the Ukrainian language.  She explains that this system is distinguished by its morphological richness and by a characteristic shared with other Slavic languages: the opposition between perfective and imperfective aspects.  The paper aims to formalize the structure of Ukrainian verbs using the NooJ linguistic platform. - Finally, Celina Colussi presents a review of the XIX International NooJ Conference 2025, which was held in the auditorium of the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO) in Paris, France. The conference took place on June 11, 12, and 13, 2025. It highlighted a broad approach, fostered by the opening lecture given by Christian Boitet (GETALP-LIG-UGA, Grenoble, France) on the need to integrate natural language processing (NLP) with so-called large language models (LLMs). This issue should be of interest to all NooJ software users. Linguists and computational linguists working with Italian, Quechua, Spanish, and Ukrainian will find advanced and up-to-date linguistic studies for these languages. We believe that readers will appreciate the importance of this issue, both for the intrinsic value of each linguistic formalization as well as the underlying methodology, and for the potential for developing educational applications.

NooJ contiene una nutrida caja de herramientas que permite a los lingüistas construir, mantener, probar, depurar, acumular y compartir recursos lingüísticos. Esto hace que el enfoque de NooJ sea diferente respecto de la mayoría de las herramientas lingüísticas computacionales, que suelen ofrecer un formalismo único a sus usuarios y no son compatibles entre sí. NooJ ha sido recientemente mejorado con nuevas funcionalidades para responder a las necesidades de los investigadores que analizan textos en diversos dominios de las Ciencias Humanas y Sociales (historia, literatura y estudios políticos, psicología, sociología, etc.), y más concretamente de todos los profesionales que utilizan corpus para enseñar una segunda lengua. Este nuevo número de nuestra revista constituye un aporte enriquecedor no solamente para la comunidad NooJ y, en general, para todos los desarrolladores de NooJ, ya que es representativo de sus dos proyectos cruciales: el desarrollo de recursos lingüísticos, por un lado, y la utilización de estos recursos para desarrollar aplicaciones didácticas. Así: - En su artículo “Algunos aportes a la enseñanza del español desde la lingüística computacional”, Andrea Rodrigo presenta  las consideraciones  pedagógicas  que  sustentan  su  investigación posdoctoral así como algunos puntos básicos que se siguen en el procesamiento automático del adjetivo  y  del  verbo  desde  la  herramienta  informática  NooJ entendiendo  que se  trata  de  categorías centrales en la gramática del español. - En su artículo, “Symbolic AI, Quantum Models and Text Automation: Toward Topologies of Language and Meaning”,  Ritamaría Bucciarelli, Francesco Terrone y Javier Julián Enríquez, abordan la implementación de técnicas de procesamiento del lenguaje natural (PLN) para la automatización del análisis de textos en el ámbito de las humanidades digitales. Su enfoque metodológico se centra en el análisis del sentimiento y de la morfosintaxis-fonética en lenguajes sintéticos y contextos de comunicación digital. - En su artículo, “Hacia la construcción de un diccionario electrónico de verbos quechua-español y español-quechua”, Maximiliano Durán presenta algunos logros alcanzados en la elaboración de un Diccionario Electrónico de Verbos Quechua-Español y Español-Quechua. El objetivo es presentar el vocabulario verbal bilingüe y bidireccional quechua-español de forma exhaustiva y formalizada a fin de desarrollar aplicaciones dentro del procesamiento automático de Lenguas (PAL). - En su artículo, “Formalization  of ukrainian verbs with  nooj: a pedagogical application  to the  learning of  aspectual  pairs”, Olena Saint-Joanis, se ocupa del  sistema  verbal  como un  componente  central de la lengua ucraniana.  Explica que este sistema se  distingue  por  su riqueza  morfológica  y por  una  característica compartida  con otras lenguas  eslavas:  la  oposición entre  los  aspectos  perfectivo  e  imperfectivo.  El  trabajo  se  propone  formalizar  la  estructura de  los  verbos  ucranianos mediante  la  plataforma  lingüística  NooJ. - Por último, Celina Colussi presenta una reseña de la XIX International NooJ Conference 2025 que se celebró en el auditorio del Instituto Nacional de las Lenguas y Civilizaciones Orientales (INALCO), París, Francia. Dicha conferencia tuvo lugar los días 11, 12 y 13 de junio de 2025. En ella, se puso de manifiesto una amplitud en el enfoque, propiciada por la conferencia de apertura, a cargo de Christian Boitet (GETALP-LIG-UGA, Grenoble, Francia) en función de la necesidad de integración del procesamiento automático del lenguaje natural (PLN) con los llamados lenguajes grandes (LLM, Large Language Models). Este número debería interesar a todos los usuarios del software NooJ. Tanto los lingüistas como los lingüistas computacionales que trabajan con el italiano, el quechua, el español así como el ucraniano encontrarán estudios lingüísticos avanzados y actualizados para estas lenguas. Creemos que el lector apreciará la importancia de esta cuestión, tanto por el valor intrínseco de cada formalización lingüística y de la metodología subyacente, como por el potencial de desarrollo de aplicaciones pedagógicas.
