The importance of this event is foundational, since it called for the discussion of a topic that is currently in full development in Argentina and in the academic environment of the UNR: the automatic natural language processing. In particular, the UNR team, led by Andrea Rodrigo, focuses on the pedagogical application of the NooJ tool. However, at the conference we were able to visualize the progress made on that matter and also to experience the multiple applications that are currently being worked on in this line of research. Thus, the presentations revolved around different axes such as: morphological and lexical resources, semantic and syntactic resources, corpus linguistics, discourse analysis and finally, applications of natural language processing. The conference was an appropriate moment to pay tribute to Dr. Solana, a pioneer in this line of work. Finally, the book of abstracts is available in the Hypermedia Repository of the UNR. Durante los días 14 al 16 de junio de 2022 se desarrolló la XVI International NooJ Conference organizada por NooJ Association y la Facultad de Humanidades y Artes, UNR. La importancia de este evento es fundacional, ya que convocó a la discusión de una temática en pleno desarrollo en Argentina y en el ámbito académico de la UNR: el procesamiento automático del lenguaje natural. Aunque el equipo de UNR, dirigido por Andrea Rodrigo, se enfoca principalmente en la aplicación pedagógica de la herramienta NooJ, sin embargo, en la conferencia, se pudieron visualizar no sólo los avances en este sentido sino también las múltiples aplicaciones con que hoy se está trabajando en esta línea de investigación. Así las ponencias giraron en torno a diferentes ejes como: recursos morfológicos y léxicos, recursos semánticos y sintácticos, lingüística del texto y análisis discursivo y por último, aplicaciones en el procesamiento de lenguaje natural. La conferencia resultó un momento oportuno para homenajear a la Dra. Solana1, pionera en esta línea de trabajo. Finalmente cabe destacar que el libro de abstracts ya se encuentra disponible en el Repositorio Hipermedial de la UNR.
