Although these institutions appear as conservative social agents, who subscribe to the climate of silencing or invisibilization of the gender violence that occurs within them, they have also become in the last five years, in places of feminist resistance when developing the novelty Protocols of action against sexist violence in more than forty public universities in the country. In this way, the argumentative development of this work incorporates both the historical-political context of analysis and the classic feminist conceptualizations, as well as the binding regulations and the existing statistical data on the phenomenon studied. En el presente artículo se analizan las violencias sexistas específicamente en las instituciones de educación superior. Dichas instituciones aparecen como agentes sociales sumamente conservadores que abonan al clima de silenciamiento o invisibilización de las violencias de género que se producen al interior de ellas. A menudo se las considera parte de un ámbito público donde no se suceden cuestiones correspondientes al “ámbito privado”. De esta manera, es justamente este foco de análisis (espacio público/privado) desde donde se abordarán las violencias sexistas en las Universidades, tema central de este trabajo.
