El caso de la cooperativa gráfica La Voz de la Mujer Maure, Gabriela Encinas, Natalia feminismos populares migración arte feminista Popular feminisms - migration - feminist art In this lecture we seek to have more insight on the experiences of migrant women that compose the graphic cooperative "La Voz de la Mujer” which originates from the 2001 crisis as a social and political context that enables the encounter with popular feminisms and artistic practices.Through a series of interviews conducted on the women workers of the cooperative we tried to give an account for the trajectories of migrant women and their encounter with feminism and art.The premise that guides our inquiries is that through the political organization and the artistic production of the women in the cooperative, a presence is configured that defies the socially assigned place to migrants which revolves around manual labour and precarious work. It is our understanding that the framework of art and feminism not only enables these women to assume the role of creators -and not that of mere objects of artistic representation-but it also enables a political critique of the dominant systems of representation, of racism, of heteropatriarchy and of capitalism.
