Throughout these pages we will consider two hypotheses. The first one is that teachers insistently supported five issues that reflected the concerns of the time. These were the content of female education, women’s inferiority, high school education, women at university and alternative studies to teaching.  The second assumption is that although there were different opinions on the same subject matter within the same journal certain coincidences can be identified by the majority of the editors.
