Un estado de la cuestión Malnis, Cecilia Magdalena antecedentes lesbianismo estudios feministas academia activismo state of the art lesbianism Feminist Studies academy activism This article reviews the current state of a field of study that can be defined as “Lesbian Studies” in Argentina. Through a documentary analysis, it highlights how the political history of lesbians has been marginally addressed in the academy, forming a significantly smaller body of data compared to the volume of studies based on the LGBTTTQ community in general, and on the feminist movement which is often dealt with a heterosexist perspective. The paper emphasizes the crucial role of lesbian activists, who have explored the topic from various perspectives, using their own experiences as a foundation for broader theoretical reflections. This research also examines the early appearances of lesbians in academic circles, as objects of study often associated to a pathology, and crime instead of being participating as lecturers. This approach contrasts with a more recent trend in which lesbians have begun to have a direct voice within academic spaces.
