Sumario:This paper deals with a topic that has become very relevant to the initiatives developed by feminist organizing for decades: the visibilization of gender inequality and violence, and its problematization as an issue pertaining the political agenda which must be also addressed by university communities. It deals particularly with the interest in a recent and powerful process of the widening and deepening of gender policies in university spaces: a case study of the Counselling Department on Sexualities, Gender Identities and Situations of Patriarchal Violence created in the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo in 2015, as an instance of feminist intervention within the university environment. The study has a qualitative methodological design from a feminist perspective, taking into account the territorial and critical diversity of the organizations, and is focused on the emergence of the space and on its main features and functions. It explains the work that is carried out, the perspective of its interventions, and certain tensions and challenges that impact on its purpose of mainstreaming gender perspective in the UNCuyo.
