In the present work we will analyze the character of Helena, heroine who has magical knowledge and divination skills, who also collaborates with the journey of the son of Odysseus. Circe, the sorceress goddess of the Homeric epic, mistress and protector of Laertíada, who with the avatars of time becomes, like other nymphs of the Greek tradition, fairy. The fairy of "Lanval" and Morgana in Yvain, who belong to different spheres of the supernatural but both fulfill the function of helping the heroes. The fairies were deeply rooted in folklore as well as in the poetic tradition of the Celtic and Germanic peoples, a tradition from which Mary of France and French novelists were inspired. In this context the fairies play the role of protector and mistress, even wife of the heroes. La poesía medieval se apropia de seres maravillosos fre-cuentes en la tradición poética y en la iconografía clásica. En el presente trabajo analizaremos el personaje de Helena, heroína que posee conoci-mientos mágicos y dotes adivinatorias, quien además colabora con la empresa del hijo de Odiseo. Circe, la diosa hechicera de la épica homérica, amante y protectora del Laertíada, que con los avatares del tiempo deviene, como otras ninfas de la tradición griega, en hada. El hada de “Lanval” y Morgana en Yvain, quienes pertenecen a dife-rentes esferas de lo sobrenatural pero las dos cumplen la función de ayudar a los héroes. Las hadas estaban profundamente arraigadas en el folclore así como también en la tradición poética de los pueblos celtas y germanos, tradición de la que abrevaron María de Francia y los novelistas franceses.
