In this paper we present a collection of representations of the battle of Vuelta de Obligado, a locality of the Partido de San Pedro in the northeast of the Province of Buenos Aires, which took place in November 1845 within the framework of what is known as the Paraná War (1845-1846). In this set we include various types: lithographs, engravings, drawings, watercolours, paintings, etc. from publications, museums and other local and foreign repositories. As for others, such as daguerreotypes and photographs, there are doubts about their existence for various reasons that are discussed here in brief. In the development of the work we analyse aspects of the content of each of these representations that make up a source of information in relation to an investigation such as the one we have been developing for more than twenty years. This work develops epistemological, theoretical and technical perspectives. The latter, when applied in fieldwork, require subsequent evaluations and adjustments. In the end, we stress that all the lines of the study, based on different research sources, point to a better understanding of the event and the war process. Furthermore, the compilation of these records provides us with new perspectives for the construction of identity and memory. |

En este trabajo presentamos un conjunto de representaciones sobre la batalla de la Vuelta de Obligado, localidad de Partido de San Pedro en el nordeste Provincia de Buenos Aires ocurrida en noviembre de 1845 en el marco de lo que se conoce como la Guerra del Paraná (1845-1846). En este conjunto incluimos varios tipos: litografías, grabados, dibujos, acuarelas, pinturas, etc. que provienen de publicaciones, museos y otros reservorios locales y extranjeros. Acerca de otras, como daguerrotipos y fotografías, se duda de su existencia por varias razones que aquí se discuten concisamente. En el desarrollo del trabajo analizamos aspectos del contenido de cada una de esas representaciones que conforman una fuente de información con relación a una investigación como la que venimos desarrollando desde hace más de veinte años. Este trabajo desarrolla perspectivas epistemológicas, teóricas y técnicas. Estas últimas al ser aplicadas en trabajo de campo, requieren de posteriores evaluaciones y ajustes. Al final destacamos que todas las líneas del estudio, fundadas en distintas fuentes de investigación, apuntan a un mejor conocimiento del evento y del proceso bélico. Asimismo, la conformación de estos registros nos permite contar con nuevas perspectivas para la construcción de la identidad y la memoria. Neste artigo apresentamos uma coleção de representações da batalha de Vuelta de Obligado, uma localidade do Partido de San Pedro no nordeste da Província de Buenos Aires, que teve lugar em novembro de 1845 no âmbito da chamada Guerra do Paraná (1845-1846). Neste conjunto incluímos vários tipos: litografias, gravuras, desenhos, aguarelas, pinturas, etc., provenientes de publicações, museus e outros repositórios locais e estrangeiros. Relativamente a outros, como os daguerreótipos e as fotografias, existem dúvidas sobre a sua existência por diversas razões que aqui se abordam de forma sucinta. No desenvolvimento do trabalho analisamos aspectos do conteúdo de cada uma destas representações que constituem uma fonte de informação em relação a uma investigação como a que temos vindo a desenvolver há mais de vinte anos. Este trabalho desenvolve perspectivas epistemológicas, teóricas e técnicas. Estas últimas, quando aplicadas no trabalho de campo, requerem avaliações e ajustes posteriores. No final, salientamos que todas as linhas do estudo, baseadas em diferentes fontes de pesquisa, apontam para uma melhor compreensão do evento e do processo de guerra. Além disso, a compilação destes registos fornece-nos novas perspectivas para a construção da identidade e da memória.
