En este trabajo trato algunas cuestiones epistemológicas y de procedimientos seguidos en las investiga- ciones que se proponen alcanzar conocimiento. Presentaré brevemente dos casos de campos de batalla, de los que uno de ellos ha sido tomado como matriz metodológica aplicable a otros sitios del mismo tipo. Finalmente analizaré algunos procesos de formación y transformación de sitios y haré algunas reflexiones. Neste artigo trato de algumas questões epistemológicas e procedimentais seguidas nas investigações que visam alcançar o conhecimento. Apresentarei brevemente dois casos de campos de batalha, um dos quais foi tomado como matriz metodológica aplicável a outros locais do mesmo tipo. Por fim, analisarei alguns processos de formação e transformação de sites e farei algumas reflexões.
