En la primera década del siglo XXI la Cooperación Sur-Sur cobra un nuevo impulso y en este contexto la coincidencia político-ideológica entre los mandatarios de ambos países aceleró un resurgimiento de la Cooperación Bilateral en el campo de la energía nuclear.
