It is essential to identify resistances and potentialities in students as active subjects of the process of digital education in order to improve it. The general objective of this study is to characterize the perception of digital education of middle education students in Havana. It is a non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational research. The sample is made up of 885 students, between seventh and twelfth grade, from five types of education. A self-administered questionnaire of perception of digital education aimed at students was used. As fundamental results, a notion of digital education focused on the instrumental is appreciated and it is perceived by the students that it is currently used at a medium level, fundamentally through groups in social networks or messaging and learning applications with mobile devices; although most of the components of digital education are located at medium-low levels, the benefits prevail over the disadvantages; satisfaction levels are medium, the desire to use digital education is high and the main suggestion is to improve and facilitate access to digital technologies. In all indicators there is a statistically significant relationship with the type of education. |

Es esencial identificar resistencias y potencialidades en estudiantes como sujetos activos del proceso de educación digital con el fin de perfeccionarlo. El objetivo general de este estudio es caracterizar la percepción de la educación digital del estudiantado habanero de educación media. Es una investigación no experimental transversal, de alcance descriptivo y correlacional. La muestra está conformada por 885 estudiantes entre séptimo y duodécimo grado, de cinco tipos de educación. Se empleó un cuestionario autoadministrado de percepción de la educación digital dirigido a estudiantes. Como resultados fundamentales, se aprecia una noción de educación digital centrada en lo instrumental y se percibe por el alumnado que esta se emplea en la actualidad en un nivel medio, fundamentalmente mediante grupos en redes sociales o aplicaciones de mensajería y aprendizaje con dispositivos móviles; aunque la mayoría de los componentes de la educación digital se ubican en niveles medios-bajos, predominan los beneficios sobre las desventajas; los niveles de satisfacción son medios, los deseos de empleo de la educación digital son altos y la principal sugerencia mejorar y facilitar el acceso a las tecnologías digitales. En todos los indicadores existe una relación estadísticamente significativa con el tipo de educación. É fundamental identificar resistências e potencialidades nos alunos como sujeitos ativos do processo de educação digital para aperfeiçoá-lo. O objetivo geral deste estudo é caracterizar a percepção da educação digital dos estudantes do ensino médio de Havana. Trata-se de uma pesquisa transversal não experimental, com escopo descritivo e correlacional. A amostra é composta por 885 alunos entre o sétimo e o décimo segundo ano, de cinco modalidades de ensino. Foi utilizado um questionário autoaplicável sobre a percepção da educação digital direcionado aos estudantes. Como resultados fundamentais, aprecia-se uma noção de educação digital focada no instrumental e percebe-se pelos alunos que atualmente é utilizada a um nível intermédio, principalmente através de grupos em redes sociais ou aplicações de mensagens e aprendizagem com dispositivos móveis; Embora a maioria dos componentes da educação digital esteja localizada em níveis médio-baixos, os benefícios predominam sobre as desvantagens; Os níveis de satisfação são médios, os desejos de emprego na educação digital são elevados e a principal sugestão é melhorar e facilitar o acesso às tecnologias digitais. Em todos os indicadores existe uma relação estatisticamente significativa com o tipo de ensino.
