Which was founded on the basis of the precursor Southern Technological Institute, founded in 1947 by Peronism. In order to understand the network of relationships and differentiations between one institution and another based on the particular trajectories of intellectuals or scientists who passed through the study house in the city of Bahía Blanca. In summary, in this article we are going to examine the continuities and discontinuities or their various degrees of cracking in their representations, ideologies and objectives based on their drastic restructuring and the attempts to eliminate their immediate past. To do this, we will analyze documentary sources, oral interviews and specific bibliography that deals with the period to contrast it with official historical views that reconstruct its past without being completely fazed by the rupture that the institutional transfer between the ITS and the UNS meant. In a certain way, these interpretations hide more than reveal the deep plot of situations, relationships, articulations, breaks and fissures with which the University created by the Liberating Revolution was constituted. Nos proponemos indagar en la transición institucional que atravesó los primeros años de la Universidad Nacional del Sur (UNS) -1956-1960- después del golpe de Estado de 1955 denominado Revolución Libertadora, la cual fue cimentada sobre la base del precursor Instituto Tecnológico del Sur (ITS), fundado en 1947 por el peronismo. De modo de comprender el entramado de relaciones y diferenciaciones entre una y otra institución a partir de las trayectorias particulares de intelectuales o científicos que transitaron por la casa de estudios de la ciudad de Bahía Blanca. En síntesis, en este artículo vamos a examinar las continuidades y discontinuidades o sus diversos grados de resquebrajamiento en sus representaciones, ideologías y objetivos a partir de su drástica reestructuración y los intentos de eliminación de su pasado inmediato. Para ello, analizaremos fuentes documentales, entrevistas orales y bibliografía específica que trata el período para contrastarla con las miradas históricas oficiales que reconstruyen su pasado sin inmutarse del todo ante la ruptura que significó el traspaso institucional entre el ITS y la UNS. De cierta manera, esas interpretaciones, ocultan más que develan la trama profunda de situaciones, relaciones, articulaciones, quiebres y fisuras con las cuales se constituyó la Universidad creada por la Revolución Libertadora.
