Two novels are selected. Novels by Caribbean authors who question and reinvent the historically established paradigms and mandates that intersectional thinking aims to dismantle: Papi, by Rita Indiana Hernández and Corazón que ríe, corazón que llora by Maryse Condé. These narratives make a decolonial critique of differences in race, class, gender, among others, appealing to a deconstructivist stance of hierarchical stereotypes founded on the European colonies in Latin America. Using the methodological basis of cultural studies and literary criticism, proposals that dismantle the cultural hegemony around the reality of Latin American peoples are exposed.  En este artículo se explora el discurso hegemónico colonial que opera como imaginario cultural en los espacios policéntricos del Caribe y sus implicaciones en la literatura. Se selecciona dos novelas de autoras caribeñas que cuestionan y reinventan los paradigmas coloniales establecidos históricamente y que el pensamiento interseccional se propone desmontar: Papi, de Rita Indiana Hernández y Corazón que ríe, corazón que llora de Maryse Condé. En estas obras se hace una crítica decolonial a las diferencias de raza, clase, género, entre otras, apelando a una postura deconstructivista de los estereotipos jerárquicos fundados a partir de las colonias europeas en Latinoamérica. Empleando la base metodológica de los estudios culturales, los estudios de género y la crítica literaria se saca a la luz propuestas que desarticulan la hegemonía cultural en torno a la realidad de los pueblos latinoamericanos.
